A few of you have inquired about the make-up of our web site ”Stillwater1974.com” and the costs involved. I’d be more than happy to explain...

First off, this web site costs the “Stillwater Class of ’74” absolutely nothing.

Here’s a little "web site creation" background that will hopefully answer at least some of the questions sent to me.

To have a web site you need 3 basics things:

1. Someone willing to create and maintain your web site.

2. A “domain name”. As you most likely know by now, ours happens to be “Stillwater1974.com”.

3. And finally, a “web host”. The web host is a company that specializes in performing all the work behind the curtains. The work that allows your web site to magically appear on the world wide web once you visit “Stillwater1974.com”. (Hopefully without glitches.)

Domain names:

Domain names are initially purchased and then renewed on an annual basis. I was lucky enough to discover that “Stillwater1974.com” was up for grabs...so I grabbed it at a fee of only $20.00 per year.

Web host:

I currently use EverWeb as my go to web site hosting company. EverWeb is a very reputable company that has served me well with my personal and business web sites.

Like all web hosting, there’s an annual fee involved. The current cost to host this site is around $40.00 a year.

Both annual fees (and the creation and maintenance of our site) is my donation to our wonderful Class of ’74.
